The Windmill grounds are open to visitors all year round. However, we must stress there is no smoking anywhere within the grounds. Please take any rubbish with you and please do not climb on the Windmill.
Or come to one of our regular open days for a self guided tour and view the machinery within the interior. There are also displays on the Windmill's history within the Roundhouse where you will find a mill related video, which will also be playing as part of the tour. It makes for a different, educational and in whole a fascinating fun day out in Surrey for all the family
The National Mills weekend is to advertise the importance of maintaining and protecting traditional mills so they can be kept in good working order. This is because some are closed during preservation however open on this weekend. For us we have additonal open days to these and please see below for these further times.
The Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,000 organisations, 5,500 events and 46,000 volunteers. Every year in September Lowfield Heath Windmill open their doors to join in celebrating this heritage, community and history.
